Top 5 reasons for an in-house PBX.

Choosing whether to buy an in-premise phone system or sign up for cloud based business phone service is often a hard choice.  Much depends on the size of your organization and how many extensions you will require. Hosted Systems from a provider is a monthly fee, pay per feature service.  It doesn't take long for the monthly fees add up. However, if your company is looking not to have a monthly fee or has existing traditional phone lines, than other variables need to be considered.

A premise based IP PBX phone system:

  1. You have control over your network- An premise phone system resides on your network.  This eliminates any long distance signaling that occurs with off-premise or cloud based based VoIP systems.  Communication from the phone to the PBX server is almost instantaneous, so signaling distance and latency should be non-existent as it does not travel over the Internet and other networks.

  2. Non-proprietary Open Source System-  systems can use non-proprietary phones and other hardware.  This will lower costs and allow for open market choices for vendor neutral hardware.

  3. Lower ongoing operational costs- Having your own in-house PBX saves money over time when compared to a hosted model, which probably has lower upfront costs.  A business owned phone system will typically result in lower monthly operating costs when spread out over time.  This is especially true for larger company systems with a higher number of users.  The larger the system the more the savings when compared to a cloud based service.

  4. Extra cost savings when SIP trunking- Using SIP trunks for low cost calls, both domestic and International, will save money over traditional carriers.  When you have your own phone system you can choose which carriers to buy service from.  This gives you pricing flexibility.

  5. Expandability- Lower cost to add users and extra extensions.  Since Yeastar systems are non-proprietary adding more capacity only requires the hardware, not extra licensing fees.  Users at home can set up remote extensions easily without additional software licensing.

VOIP SYSTEMS ARE LOWER IN COST, EASY TO SETUP AND MAINTAIN.

THE NEXT GENERATION IN BUSINESS HOST YOU OWN PHONE SYSTEM'S AND PHONES

In today’s fast-paced, interconnected world, it is more important than ever for businesses to have a communications solution that will keep them connected to their customers and employees – from anywhere, at any time. Despite some providers extolling the diminishing need for a desktop phone, the fact is that it remains one of the most – if not the most – critical components to successful business communications. Equipping employees with the right equipment that delivers the best features and productivity-enhancing tools can drastically increase a company’s business performance.

Yeastar and Yealink has striven to perfect the desktop phone as the hub of business communications. Purpose-built with an intuitive design, Yealink Business Phones and Yeastar telephone system are loaded with advanced capabilities that put the everyday features that users rely on right at their fingertips. Other companies may sell generic phones with a monthly Fee with their systems, glossing over the issues that stem from adding third-party devices to their solutions. Yealink, and Yeastar telephone systems however, designs and engineers the equipment to work seamlessly to delivering the best user experience available.

Cloud Costs Can Add Up

When you break down the cost of cloud based phone service, aka Hosted Business VoIP, on a per seat basis, you can see it quickly adds up. Consider $20.00 to $35.00 per user, per month is typical. For a 15 person office the monthly cost would range from $300.00 to $525.00 every month. On the lower end, many features would not be included and as added would increase that cost quickly. If you need to record calls then that service can be added with many providers, but you will be charged an additional per month, per user fee, as much as $20.00 more.

Phones are typically a cost that can be either paid for upfront, or added as a monthly cost. An amount might be $5.00 per month per phone. With the current low cost of many quality SIP phones you can see that it doesn't take long to have paid enough in rental fees to have paid for the phone itself.

Doing the math shows how an in-house ip-pbx using SIP trunks through a reliable provider can make financial sense.

IP-PBXs are better and more affordable than ever.

2017 has shown a shift with more SMBs choosing an in-house solution over a total cloud based phone service. The reasons are both cost savings and ease of installation and management, with several well known companies making excellent solutions

 Premise Based

  • Non-Proprietary: Brings down initial costs,  expansion costs and operating costs over time.

  • Management: Yeastar systems are easily configured and installation is made to be easy  by in-house personnel. The GUI offerers a well designed and intuitive experance. This opens the door for an in-house person to maintain your network, including your phone system.

  • Choice of connections: You can connect through any type of voice/phone connection.
